CEO
A career banker with nearly five decades of experience, starting as an Officer at MCB in December 1974 and rising to managerial level within three years. He went on to serve in almost 20 branches in managerial capacity — including major Karachi branches such as Korangi No. 6, Sher Shah, Pakistan Quarters, Pakistan Chowk, North Napier, Abdullah Haroon Road and Shahra-e-Faisal — eventually reaching the rank of SVP/GM.
From July 2002 to May 2008, he served as Regional Manager across five major regions — Hyderabad (28 branches across remote Sindh), Karachi North (including the Stock Exchange Branch), Karachi Main, Karachi Central and Karachi East — formulating regional strategy, driving revenue generation and cost control, supervising sales, risk, compliance and training, and sanctioning credit lines up to Rs. 120M (fund-based) and Rs. 50M (non-fund-based).
From June 2008 to August 2012, he served as General Manager/SVP managing 100+ branches across the Multan and Bahawalpur areas. He later served as Group Chief Executive Officer of OMNI Academy (MHSJ Consulting Group) for three years, reporting to the Chairman, until 2020, and as a Director on the Board of the First Islamic Microfinance Institution, Ghana. His achievements include building strong cross-functional client relationships, differentiating service and product capabilities in the market, and consistently increasing revenue while maintaining portfolio credit quality.
Secretary-CFO
An accomplished financial executive with over 30 years of experience in regulatory compliance and strategic financial management across various sectors. He is proficient in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, including adherence to SECP guidelines and other governmental regulations, and is an expert in designing and implementing robust compliance frameworks that ensure both statutory compliance and operational excellence. He is skilled at liaising with regulatory authorities to safeguard corporate interests and promote transparency and integrity in financial practices, with core competencies in strategic financial management, leadership and team building, regulatory compliance, capital raising and cost saving, market insights, financial analysis and reporting, strategic oversight, corporate governance, budget management, risk and investment management, stakeholder and public relations, and negotiations.
Shariah Advisor
A Shariah scholar with a remarkable career delivering highly professional and rewarding Shariah services, exercising proven skills in Internal Shariah Audit, Shariah Advising and Shariah Compliance within financial institutions. His areas of expertise include Islamic Banking, Takaful, Shariah Training, IFTA (issuing Shariah rulings/pronouncements), and he has also served as a Visiting Professor, Imam and Khateeb, alongside international visits, TV programs, conferences and seminars.
Professional Profile: Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) — AAOIFI, Bahrain; Registered Shariah Advisor as per the Shariah Governance Regulations, 2023 issued by SECP; Member, Board of Studies, Islamic Learning Department, University of Karachi; Chairman, ASAS Shariah Advisory Services Private Limited; Shariah Consultant, Khitaam Halal International Private Limited.
